Implant Crown Placement
Implants are often used to securely attach a crown in the area where a patient is missing one or more teeth. An implant is surgically placed in the jawbone, where it attaches to make a strong, lasting “root” to which a crown can be attached.
Type of Implant Crowns
Crowns are made to look like natural teeth and can be made of several materials, including porcelain and zirconia. Porcelain crowns look very natural. They can be fused with other materials to make them more durable. Zirconia crowns are digitally constructed and are very strong. Implants can also be made from these same materials.
